Cough and Sore Throat Remedy: Garlic

Ingredients:

1 clove of garlic


Method:
  1. You can suck on the garlic clove or chop it up and consume it as is
  2. Take 2-3 times a day


Caution: Garlic will cause unpleasant breath. Also garlic taken in excess can cause stomach problems. Do not use garlic if you are on blood thinning medication


Why it works:

Garlic has sulfur-containing volatile oil which gives it its aroma and medical properties. It is an anti-infective agent so it is able to kill the germs in the throat and soothes it.

Tired Eyes Remedy: Teabags

Ingredients:
  • 2 tea bags (green tea or black tea)
  • 1 cup of hot water





Method: 
  1. Soak the teabags in the cup of hot water for about 1 minute
  2. After they cool down a bit close your eyes and place one teabag on each 
  3. After the teabag reach room temperature and you feel they are no longer soothing, remove them
  4. Repeat every time you have puffy or tired eyes



Why it works


Tea contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory ingredients that help reduce the puffiness and redness under the eyes. They help draw out  toxins leaving the skin refreshed and hydrated. Teabags also give a hydrating cooling effect and reduce irritation.
