Mild Anxiety and Nervousness: Aromatherapy

Ingredients:



You can use one of the following essential oils:

  • Rosemary
  • Roman Chamomile
  • Patchouli
  • Lavender



There are multiple methods of using essential oils

Method 1: You can put a few drops in a warm bath

Method 2: Massage yourself with diluted or pure essential oil, depending on the fragrance strength

Method 3: You can put some in a diffuser so the aroma spreads across the room

Method 4: You can sniff it straight from the bottle or from a cotton ball



Why it works


Essential oils found in aromatic plants can help people calm down and is used medicinally. These aromas activate the parasympathetic nervous system triggering relaxation. When you relax you decrease your heart rate and breathing rate. The body's stress hormone production is decreased as well. As you calm down the healing process is quickened.
